Haringey Trailblazers Mental Health Support Team

Haringey Trailblazers is a mental health support team working in Haringey schools to support the emotional wellbeing of children and their families. Our team consists of professionals offering early intervention support to children, young people and parents/carers for a range of wellbeing concerns including anxiety, stress, and low mood, as well as strategies for managing behaviour. Trailblazers offers one-to-one sessions, groups, and whole-class workshops.

Haringey Trailblazers also works with teachers and school staff to help them to understand more about mental health and how to support children and young people experiencing emotional and behavioural issues, promoting a whole-school approach to mental health.

Who works in the team?

Haringey Trailblazers consists of clinicians delivering low-intensity interventions in schools (Education Wellbeing Practitioners, Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners, Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Nurses and Play Therapists), as well as a Speech and Language Therapist offering consultation and training. Haringey Trailblazers also works with the educational psychology service and other partner organisations, such as Anchor, Deep Black and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

Referrals to the Haringey Trailblazers Mental Health Support Team can be made by the school. Please speak to your school’s mental health lead. It is not possible to self-refer to Haringey Trailblazers MHST.
