Here's more detail
Description
The NCG Youth Wellbeing Project provides psycho-social support to young refugees and asylum seekers, aged 12-21 years old.
What will this involve?
The aim of this project is to improve young people’s overall health and well-being by providing opportunities for support, socialisation, confidence building and integration into the local community. Our youth activities aim to develop the voice of young people, and work to build their confidence and sense of place in society; enabling them to reach their full potential.
The current activities on the Youth Wellbeing Project include:
- Youth Club
- Football Club
- ESOL Class (Online)
- Girls Club
- Action Club/Youth Council
- Outings and school holiday activities
We also have an online counselling service which includes 12 sessions of counselling with a bi-lingual counsellor when possible.
Once a referral has been made, a member of the youth team will contact the young person to discuss their interests and explain the activities on the project.
A plan will then be made for which activities the young person would like to join, and our team will explain how to get there, the venue, what this will involve, and meet you when you arrive to the venue.
Who works in the team?
The NCG Youth Team is made up of experienced youth workers, ESOL teachers, Youth Counsellors, and volunteers.

Most of our in-person activities take place at Middlesex University in Hendon, NW 4BT. However, we accept referrals from all boroughs of London.
