Platform is Islington Council’s stunning creative hub for young people. The former Hornsey Road Baths laundry has been transformed into a theatre, performance space, media suite, a recording studio, dance studio and a cafe.

Our programme aims to provide innovative experiences for young people, working with industry professionals. This happens alongside sessions delivered by youth workers for example arts and crafts, games and quizzes, conversations and screenings. Young people also drop by to use the café, study or simply hang out. Our facilitated sessions include music and film production, drama and dance. We run events most Fridays and finish each term with Platform Presents. We work with an exciting range of partners like Gain Ctrl, Fully Focused, Upshot Films, Company Three and the Amy Winehouse Foundation. As an integrated youth service, we also work with partners that provide specialist support services like counselling, psychotherapy and particularly helping with routes into employment.

The hub is funded by Islington Council and through income generated by hiring out the spaces to local businesses and organisations when it is not being used by young people.
